This painting is a tribute to Jeddah, my hometown, where my childhood memories live. It shows the golden beauty of Historic Balad, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its old streets and traditional buildings. I remember my father taking our family and visiting friends there during Umrah and Hajj, and later we enjoyed the sparkling nights of Ramadan. Using metallic acrylics and silver leaf on stretched canvas, I’ve recreated Old Balad as a piece of art that celebrates its heritage, culture, and timeless charm.
