**Hussam Ahmed Abdel Wahab** is an Egyptian visual artist and calligrapher based in the UAE. Nemat Joudat Maqdadi, born in 1965 in Souk El Gharb, Mount Lebanon, to Palestinian parents from Jaffa, developed a passion for history and Arab culture, including traditional handicrafts such as embroidery, applied across various artistic media, beginning with canvas. After the Lebanese Civil War, she moved to Damascus and Tunis, where she advanced her embroidery practice from traditional techniques to expressive, sculptural art on canvas. Following the stabilization after the civil war, she returned to Lebanon to learn the craft of handmade ceramics with contemporary inspirations from nature. She then deepened the aesthetic connection between natural details and Arab culture, discovering her passion for ornamentation and Arabic calligraphy, which she now practices in a sculptural style while maintaining traditional craft principles within a contemporary framework.
